Membrana is a Peruvian editorial collective formed in 2015 by Lilith Punial, Elizabeth Vasquez and Karla Barracuda. As trained printmakers, their aim is to create artist’s books, fanzines and photobooks using traditional processes like woodcut, screen-printing, stamps; among others. Within their production, there are publications made by the members of the group cataloged as "Expedientes M" (M Files), as well as editions to other fine artists.
Membrana has participated in different printed art fairs and exhibitions
in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, USA and UK. In addition, they seek to make
other voices visible and encourage the practice of self-publication running
workshops, talks and other activities.
